Retirement


Retirement from Service
Any certificated employee who is a member of the State Teachersí
Retirement System may retire from service at the employeeís option upon
written application to the State Teachers Retirement Board under provisions
of Education Code 23901.
Employees should notify the Superintendent of their intention to
retire as soon as possible so that a suitable replacement may be found.
Notice must be given by April 1 preceding the intended year of retirement.
Retirement for Disability
Any certificated employee may retire for disability under the terms
and conditions of Education Code 23902 et seq.
Retirement Age
There shall be no compulsory retirement age.
