Certificated Personnel
Pre-Retirement Part-Time Employee
The Governing Board may allow certificated employees the opportunity
to work on a part-time basis before retirement without jeopardizing full
retirement credit.
The Superintendent or designee may establish regulations which allow
certificated employees who are members of the State Teachers Retirement
System (STRS) or Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) to reduce their
workload from full to part time, receive service credit and maintain the
retirement benefits the employee would have received if the employee had
been employed on a full-time basis.
