School Calendar
The Superintendent or
designee shall recommend to the Governing Board a calendar that includes each
unit of MetroED that will meet the requirements of law as well as the needs of
the community, students and the work year as negotiated for all personnel.
The MetroED school
calendar shall show the beginning and ending school dates, legal and local
holidays, staff in-service meeting days, minimum days,
vacation periods and other pertinent dates.
The district shall offer
174 days of instruction per school year for CCOC, 180 days of instruction per
school year for Capitol High and 175 days of instruction for adult education
(MAEP).
Staff development days
shall not be counted as instructional days.
All MetroED units will
remain open on days that certain sites are used as polling places. (Elections Code 12283)
