Superintendent, Paul Hay, through the Key Communicator Network disseminates information to its internal and external Key Communicators in an effort of providing information to make audiences aware of programs, challenges, policies, and opens the door for dialogue and communication between the Superintendent and MetroED’s customers.
External customers are invited by the Superintendent to become a Key Communicator, and others are encouraged to become a member of the network by contacting the Superintendent’s Office, 408-723-6461.
Responsibilities of a Key Communicator:
You are asked to do nothing out of the ordinary. Here is how it works:
- A few times during the school year (probably 2-3 times per year) you will receive a mailing that has information about what has been happening in MetroED’s programs. We ask that you review the information and be able to share it with others in the community with whom you interact – those within your circle of influence.
- The Superintendent or a member of his staff may occasionally call a key communicator to get information on how he or she feels about a particular issue.
- The Superintendent may ask for support from the Network when we have a “call to action”; i.e. an example might be a request to make a phone call or write a letter to a legislator.
- Most importantly, Mr. Hay wants you as a community member and key communicator to have access to his office should you have a question or a comment about activities in our district.
We sincerely hope that you will join the Superintendent’s Key Communicator Network and help us to become a better school for our community.
If you are interested in participating in the Network, call the Superintendent’s Office, 408-723-6461.
