MAEP provides learning opportunities for adults in over 40 locations throughout
San Jose and Campbell which serve a combined total of 45,000 adults around the clock in subjects
including:
English as a Second Language
Citizenship Preparation (offered in English and 5 other languages)
Adult Basic Education-literacy skills in reading, writing, and math
GED preparation
High School Diploma program for adult students
Short-term career-technical certificate programs helping people
gain skills to enter, or re-enter, the workforce
Educational Programs for older adults
Childbirth and Parenting Education
Adult Gardening Classes
World Garden/Erikson
ESL Students Singing in English
Career Technical Education/ Medical Assisting
Adult High School Graduation

The mission of the MAEP is to provide a caring environment that enables students
to achieve their fullest potential while developing, in a diverse society,
both a strong sense of community and a love of lifelong learning.
Sponsors: 300 day classes, 500 night classes in over 40 locations
Teachers are credentialed professionals
Well-developed, free or low-cost programs
Is the biggest provider of training for CalWORKs clients,
and a leader in the welfare-to-work efforts in Santa Clara County
Is fully accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges)
