The Metropolitan Education District-wide Vision Statements are supported by measurable annual goals and strategies.

The MetroED budget is aligned with the district-wide vision statements and to the goals and strategies which are all also linked to our accreditation action plans.

Each employee's work is focused on the goals and strategies within their area of responsibility.
2011 - 2012 MetroED District Vision Statements

DISTRICT VISION STATEMENT #1: The Metropolitan Education District facilitates workforce-relevant student learning through research-based teaching practices, program accountability and continual measurement of student achievement.

DISTRICT VISION STATEMENT #2: The Metropolitan Education District programs and services are known, respected and meet the changing needs of its key constituencies, including students, participating districts, educational partners, business, industry and community.

DISTRICT VISION STATEMENT #3: The Metropolitan Education District fosters an internal culture characterized by employee professionalism, teamwork, continual staff improvement, an appreciation of diversity, a safe and supportive work environment and effective utilization of technology and other resources.
2011 - 2012 MetroED Goals

Goal 1: To maintain and improve programs for students in all career-technical and adult education programs.

Goal 2: To measure and monitor student achievement and utilize results to improve student learning.

Goal 3: Develop a legislative program that promotes sound Career Technical Education (CTE) and adult education reforms, enhances the instructional goals of MetroED and expands funding opportunities for MetroED programs.

Goal 4: Expand and enhance partnerships with education groups, business and industry.

Goal 5: To streamline and update district programs, operations and procedures to reduce costs and increase organizational efficiency.

Goal 6: To improve learning through the use of technology for alternative teaching methods and collaborative teaching opportunities to enhance student learning.

Goal 7: To develop new leadership within the district and plan for administrative continuity for the next decade and beyond.

Goal 8: To improve facilities and equipment to meet the needs of a changing economy by providing state of the industry equipment and standards.
