April MAEP World Garden Workshop: Container Gardening

Grow beautiful plants in limited space through the use of container gardening. Learn the basics of Container gardening at the Metropolitan Adult Education Program’s (MAEP) Container Gardening World Garden Workshop on April 24, at the Erikson Adult Education Center located at 4849 Pearl Avenue, San Jose.

Container gardening is a practical alternative to those with limited gardening and planting space. Master Gardener Bette Lloyd will show gardeners of all skill levels, how to choose the proper container, select compatible plants, prepare the container, and techniques for successful container gardens. She will also share design tips for both beauty and function and teach gardeners how to properly care for their containers. Both edible and ornamental container gardens for the home gardener will be covered at the workshop.

The free workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the MAEP Erikson Adult Education Center Auditorium. Pre-registration is required! Seats fill up fast so call or email today!

To register for the free workshop, call 723-6450 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and ask to have your name added to the April World Garden Workshop list, or email your name and phone number to ritab@metroed.net.
