Central County Occupational Center Seeks Exhibitors for Eighth Annual Custom & Classic Car Show Benefit

Central County Occupational Center will host its Eighth Annual Custom and Classic Car Show benefiting CCOC's SkillsUSA Club on May 13 from 5-8:30 pm, at 760 Hillsdale Avenue, San Jose.

A $15 tax deductible donation/fee is all it takes to exhibit a custom, classic or vintage car, truck, motorcycle or bicycle in the CCOC auto show. Exhibitors will also receive one free meal. Pre-registration is not required. Exhibitors pay at the gate on the night of the event.

In 2010, more than 1,000 spectators came to see 286 entries in the annual event. Donations are also being accepted to help offset costs. Visit www.MetroED.net and click on the "donate" button for more information.

All proceeds go directly to support students competing in annual SkillsUSA regional, state, and national competitions. Spaghetti, hotdogs, and soft drinks will be available for purchase by spectators. Spectators' admission to the car show is free. No pets please.

SkillsUSA is a national organization which serves high school and college students enrolled in technical, skilled, and service occupations, including health occupations. SkillsUSA provides education experiences for students in leadership and teamwork and helps build self-confidence, professional work attitudes and communication skills. Many of CCOC's SkillsUSA club members compete in annual SkillsUSA championships at the Regional, State, and National level.
