CCOC Students Win Best Short Video Category in County's Public Health Department's YouTube Video Contest
An H1N1 prevention video submitted by two students from Central County Occupational Center's (CCOC's) Video Production class recently won Best Short Video in the Santa Clara County Public Health Departments H1N1 YouTube Video Contest.
Jonathan Gubler and Anthony Vibanco, who also attend Oak Grove High School, produced a video providing quick facts about preventing the spread of H1N1, also known as the Swine flu, virus.
The 45 second video can be viewed at http://www.sccphd.org/h1n1flu by clicking on the "Don't Let the Flu Catch You" video link. In addition to having their video placed on the county's website, the duo was awarded gift certificates for Sky High Sports, Silvercreek Sportsplex Skating, Fry's Electronics, Sports Basement, Togo's and Psycho Donuts.
The contest was open to high school and college students in Santa Clara County. The contest was part of the health department's effort to reach out to that age group through social media and to raise awareness about the need to protect oneself from the H1N1 virus.
