SkillsUSA Leadership Bylaws

President

  • Works alongside SkillsUSA Lead Advisor & Leadership Advisors
  • Reports meeting minutes back to SkillsUSA Advisor & Leadership Advisors
  • Attends and leads the Skills USA/ Leadership meetings
  • Develops agendas for Skills USA/ Leadership activities
  • Helps to plan and organize fund raising events
  • Adhere to applicable policies, regulations, and laws of SVCTE and SkillsUSA
  • Adhere to applicable policies, regulations, audit guidelines, and laws with respect to the handling of, Skills USA/Leadership related funds(when the Treasurer is unable)
  • Ensure Skills USA Leadership follows appropriate parliamentary procedures having elected officers and that minutes are kept for each meeting
  • Facilitate a good working relationship with fellow officers and students by discussing expectations of SkillsUSA students/leaders and come to a mutual understanding about how best to perform the SkillsUSA/Leadership goals
  • Regularly meet with SkillsUSA/Leadership members to discuss the planning of events and calendar of Student activities
  • Commit to office for the 2016-2017 school year regardless of SkillsUSA competition results
  • Commit to 1-2 separate Executive leadership meetings

Vice-President

  • Works alongside SkillsUSA elected President, Lead Advisor & Leadership Advisors
  • Reports meeting minutes back to SkillsUSA Advisor & Leadership Advisors (when President id unable)
  • Attends and help elected President run the Skills USA/ Leadership meetings
  • Assist elected President to develop agendas for Skills USA/ Leadership activities
  • Helps to plan and organize fund raising events
  • Adhere to applicable policies, regulations, and laws of SVCTE and SkillsUSA
  • Adhere to applicable policies, regulations, audit guidelines, and laws with respect to the handling of, Skills USA/Leadership related funds (when the Treasurer is unable)
