Since 1993 the MetroED foundation has supported the Metropolitan Education District (MetroED), in its mission to prepare high school and adult students for high wage, in-demand occupations essential to our community and economy. In addition to important skill building, students internalize the soft skills employers demand, life skills needed to be productive, self-sufficient citizens, and are guided through career planning to help them achieve long-term career success.
Our Mission
To advocate for and bring awareness to the Metropolitan Education District’s (MetroED) Career Technical Education college and vocational career programs. We unite financial and community resources to help students achieve success in skilled occupations highly demanded in the competitive, automating, global workforce.
Our Vision
To support and grow MetroED’s career technical education career pathways as the models to meet the challenges of the global workforce, close the digital divide, promote educational equity, and offer life-changing career opportunities to high school and adult learners.
Our Work
We support MetroED through fundraising, public relations, brand awareness, community and alumni outreach and much more. To do this important work, we need to grow our Foundation Board. We are currently looking for interested alumni and community citizens to serve on our Fund Development, PR/Brand Awareness, Advocate/Outreach and Scholarship committees, and be a member of the Board.
