On March 6, 2018, Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) hosts an Open House event. Current students, parents, families, community members, and interested 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are encouraged to attend. Attendees can tour 24 STEAM high school classrooms with student lab activities. Group and individual tours take place from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m., 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., and 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at 760 Hillsdale Ave, San Jose, CA.
SVCTE offers 24 courses (17 of which are UC “a-g” approved) that prepare students for college and future careers. These include:
SVCTE is free for qualified 11th & 12th grade students who are training for a specific career path. Students who enroll in the program must commit to the morning (7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.) or afternoon (12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.) session Monday - Friday. Bus transportation is provided from the student's home high school to SVCTE, and back to the home high school.
Our daytime Career Technical Education classes are designed specifically for high school students; adults may register on a space-available basis, only.
