Preparing Students to Thrive In College and Careers
Greetings!

As this year comes to a close, I am privileged to look back at all the amazing actions our District and employees took and continue to take to provide an outstanding education for all students. I am in awe of the passion and commitment all of you have provided to our students, families, and community.

This year has challenged us in many ways but has also proven the power of this district, its programs, and amazing employees. Many moments throughout the year brought me great gratitude and inspiration and I thank all of you for that. I am proud to support you and work with each of you.

The MetroED Family wishes you a wonderful holiday season.

Congratulations to Our District for Obtaining $833,767 in Funding for MetroED Under the Strong Workforce Program

The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO), in partnership with the California Department of Education (CDE), developed the K12 Strong Workforce Program (K12 SWP) as an initiative to provide more middle-skilled workers and in response to industry demands by delivering the skill sets required by our local employers.

The objective of our SWP project is to increase the number of students who will successfully transition to post-secondary in CTE pathways. By aligning & strengthening a shared vision between SVCTE & community college partner agencies we can generate a K14 pathway that will align & provide services for career pathways success.

This is great news in continuing the amazing work our school and staff does each and every day.
