Preparing Students to Thrive in College and Careers

Message from the Superintendent Alyssa Lynch
Greetings!

Happy New Year!

At Metropolitan Education District, we've been working tirelessly throughout this COVID-19 crisis to continue providing high-quality programs through distance learning.

This newsletter includes a link to the most current Reopening Plan 2.0, posted on our website. For the past six months, we have been prepared to host small groups of students on campus and reopen when Santa Clara County returns to the 'Red Tier.' We are looking forward to that day!

We have continuously implemented the protocols recommended by Santa Clara County Health Department. At this time, our administrators stay informed and guide our staff weekly on the changes within our county. We have all been challenged by navigating a new way of life. I know we all see the light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel. With the vaccine, there is a sense of hope. I would like to encourage everyone to continue to follow all the recommended protocols and get the vaccine when you are eligible because that will allow us to reduce the case rates and reopen our programs. I am eager to receive my vaccine so I can do my part in our community.

Stay safe and well,

Alyssa Lynch
Superintendent
