Students Soar with HOSA Awards

HOSA 2022Last week, 17 Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) HOSA students had the opportunity to attend the Cal-HOSA State Leadership Conference (SLC) in Long Beach, California. This year, there were 10,856 total competitors. SVCTE had seven students qualify for the second round at SLC (only the top 25 in each competition progress to the second round). In addition, SVCTE had two students take home the third-place finish.

“Our students demonstrated business professionalism and represented SVCTE with the utmost respect,” said Maggie Kasberger, Sports Medicine & Kinesiology instructor. “I cannot begin to explain how proud I was to be a part of this opportunity to represent SVCTE and the programs that each of you has put so much time and energy into.”

These two students have the opportunity to compete at the International HOSA competition in Nashville, Tennessee June 22-25.
