The District and SVCTA negotiating teams reached an agreement on Article 10000, which outlines updated roles, responsibilities, and compensation for Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) leadership and teachers. The agreement clarifies the roles, responsibilities, and compensation for CTSO leadership and teachers, and ensures consistent support for student participation in these career-focused programs.
Both teams engaged in constructive dialogue throughout negotiations, demonstrating a shared commitment to strengthening high-quality CTE opportunities for students.
Because these updates affect current program planning, both teams agreed it was important to begin implementation now rather than wait for the full negotiations package to be completed. On December 10, 2025, the MetroED Governing Board approved the implementation of Article 10000 to advance the agreed-upon updates. This approval is a procedural requirement for agreements with fiscal components and does not constitute a complete contract or tentative agreement. The teams will continue to meet to work together on a new contract agreement during this bargaining cycle.
