SVCTE Culinary Arts Student Alicia Bui Earns Top Honors at California Almond Sauce Throwdown
Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) center Culinary Arts student Alicia Bui, from Independence High School in East Side Union High School District, earned a top-three placement at the California Almond Sauce Throwdown hosted by the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena, Calif., last weekend. This event is a competition from ProStart, which is a two-year, industry-backed culinary arts and restaurant management program that reaches more than 222,000 students in 2,200 schools nationwide.
